This is an Academy plastic model kit. The “Memphis Belle” was one of the first 4-engine B-17’s to complete 25 bombing missions in WWII. This actual plane inspired two movies,a 1944 documentary, and a 1990 motion picture. Academy’s 17″ wingspan, 1/72 scale version, leaves nothing out. This plastic model kit includes fully engraved panel lines and rivet detail, highly detailed cockpit and bomb bay, positionable landing gear and bomb bay door, and historic markings for the “Memphis Belle”. Also included are decals for the “Miss Ouchita”. Truly a magnificent piece of history to please aviation modelers of any skill level.
